FAGGIOLI FLIES IN ASCOLI

From Pikes Peak to the 65th "Coppa Paolino Teodori" was a short step for Simone Faggioli, who, after shaking off jet lag, went on to win one of Italy's most iconic hill climbs once again.

The Florentine driver from Best Lap left his mark (it was his 15th time) in both races of the Marche competition, the fourth round of the Italian Supersalita Championship and the sixth round of the FIA European Hill Climb Championship. - "An important victory to return to the Italian Championship in the best way after the somewhat disappointing American interlude" - declared Simone Faggioli, who won both climbs on the 5.031-meter course between Colle San Marco and San Giacomo in identical fashion, with times of 2'11"82 and 2'11"34 respectively. Times that were out of reach for the competition, which nevertheless ignited an exciting challenge for all top ten positions, decided by hundredths of a second.
