Top Gear Team with Davide and Andrea Giordano at the start of the Coppa Italia final
SECOND PLACE GOOD FOR THE GIORDANO BROTHERS WITH THE RENAULT CLIO RALLY3 AT THE RALLY VALDINIEVOLE
With the French car supplied by GB Motors they finished just outside the top ten overall, winning the category. Serravalle Pistoiese (Pistoia), 30 June 2025 –
Second experience with the Renault Clio Rally3, for the brothers Davide and Andrea Giordano and finally the smile has been found. The reigning champions of zone 7 of the Over 55 category and third in the final of the 2024 Italian Cup, representing the Top Gear Team, concluded the 40th Rally Montecatini Terme and Valdinievole in 12th place overall, first in their category, aboard the Renault Clio Rally3 of GB Motors. After the bitter taste in the Rally Abeti, last month with the withdrawal due to a double puncture, the smile has finally arrived for the brothers from Pistoia with the transalpine four-wheel drive in a competition that was still very hard-fought.
It was above all the stifling heat that mainly affected the performance of the Giordanos, who throughout the Valdinievole challenge complained of excessive engine overheating, not allowing them to have full power delivery, with the electronics sending it “into protection”. Despite this, comforting time results arrived but above all it was possible to continue to communicate with the Clio, advancing the work started in the previous race. Davide Giordano: “The withdrawal from the Abeti rally had left a bitter taste in our mouths, but we had still seen that with this car you can do great things. Certainly the Montecatini race was not the best to be able to work, with the heat that exhausted those, but we have also seen that when everything goes as it should, we are able to stay high in the standings. And let's keep in mind that we are only at the beginning, this car will be able to give us satisfaction, the team is very capable and professional, we can look to the future with serenity”.
The Giordano brothers' season will be supported by their partner Magigas.
